During the conference round tables will be organized with destinations similar to Palma and which have attracted national and international MICE tourism, as well as important business tourism destinations, both classic and emerging. The associations of the events sector will have a relevant specific weight as they will contribute their perception of the problems present in the industry in Spain. We will also have the participation of representatives of local institutions and key actors such as flight companies and hotel chains.
The conference will provide attendees with the most advanced training for professionals, which is not normally available on the island, and presentations by renowned figures in the sector. Improving knowledge of the sector and learning from the best has always been one of the objectives of Mallorca: Destino MICE.
In addition to round tables on MICE destinations and Events with an impact, we will have other presentations and talks by important experts of the sector. This year we want to focus on events with impact, CSR, sustainable growth, measurement of results and talent.
As in 2017, a large exhibition space will be designated for collaborators. After collecting comments from attendees last year, in 2018 we will extend the opening time of the exhibition to the two days of the event and with longer opening hours. With this we hope to multiply the possibilities of networking and presenting products and services to all attendees.
In addition, within the projection plan of the destination abroad, we consider very important that buyers of the sector know the suppliers of the island. For this reason, different hosted buyer programs will be organized.
The meeting will take place on 13 and 14 December 2018 at the Palau de Congressos de Palma with the sponsorship of Meliá Hotels International.
The organization of the event is in charge of the Pidelaluna events team, Palau de Congressos de Palma and MPI (Meeting Professionals International).
Different production and event management companies co-operate as co-sponsors and present their services in the exhibition space: planners, audiovisuals, hostesses, transfers, photography, catering, merchandising, etc.
